Paris Day 2 Tuesday 22nd April

Day 2 in Paris

Breakfast in the hotel - Amy thinks this is the best Croissant she has EVER had!

Off we go on the Metro to meet our guide for 'Behind the Scenes Eiffel Tower' tour - Excited xx

Keep up the pace as we only have 10 minutes before we are supposed to meet the guide!

Phew!!  We made it with a few minutes to spare as our guide was a few minutes late!!

Can take a few pics around the bottom of the tower as we have time!

Eiffel himself

Our tour has started, so we start off by walking away from the tower to visit the Champ de Mars’ underground military bunker, not sure what to expect!

We then went back to the tower and went into the engine room and saw the machinery that powers the hydraulic lifts

The hydraulics!  Amy thought this was cool seeing how the lifts are powered!

So now we are getting the lift to second level 115metres high, this is the lift and they have made a statue of where the lift driver's originally sat (outside the lift braving all elements!)

Looking down to where our lift has just taken us but this isn't all the way up yet!!  Eeeek!!

That's even higher up, but no thanks we are high enough here!

More use out of the binoculars!

That's us down on solid ground again and now time for lunch!!
So here is Amy's wish to have a Nutella Crepe, I have Nutella and Banana and Colin had Cheese and Ham Crepe!

We started going for a walk to Notre Dame Cathedral but we didn't get very far!!

The binoculars were out again looking at the design trying to see all the characters that came to life in the Disney film!

Looking at the map figuring how to get to Hard Rock Café for tea then home! 
We were disappointed by Hard Rock Café, never mind atleast we can say we have been. 
Started raining as we were heading there too which didn't help!
