'I'm a believer' song from Shrek, another dance with the bigger girls on stage. So the rehearsal was from 1pm-5.30pm then back to get changed at 6.30pm, had McDonald's for lunch and a picnic in the car for tea. The show finished at 10.30pm! Mummy watched the show by herself on Friday night, Daddy watched Saturday matinee whilst Mummy chaperoned again (chaperoned some of Amy's class buddies this time!) and then Mummy and Daddy watched together on Saturday evening performance. It is hard to describe how proud we were of Amy up on stage doing her dances, AMAZING!! A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into organising and running the show, tremendous amount of people involved.
One of my most memorable moments from chaperoning has been one of the teeny weenies decided to apply her own make up bare in mind these little ballet dancers are only 3,4,5 years old. So my little cherub I asked her to put the make up away as her make up was fine, so 'Yes' was the reply and the make up was put away. Thought that was good, no issues then turned my back for a few minutes then turned around to find EEEEEEK!! Not only had she put make up on but had put pink lipstick all over her cheek as if she had put make up on a train or in the car at high speed! But then realised she also had an orange forehead with an extra added amount of foundation applied, quick wipe sorted but then ............
if the make up wasn't bad enough she had managed to put foundation on her WHITE TUTU OUTFIT!!!!! Quick wet wipe and we were sorted but the make up was put away out of little hands reach! If it wasn't so intense and stressful back stage and in the dressing areas that might have been FUNNY!!! |
WellAmy that's the 'Dancing Show' over after all that practicing. You looked so good in all your costumes.AND the makeup. I had a horrible feeling where Mummy mentions you looked like a teenager.I HOPE HOPE that we see you before you become a teenager,Not meaning when we see you on Saturday. 5Sleeps 'till we see you all,WOW!!
