Barcelona Day 3
Good morning Amy – rise and shine shutters open :o)
Amy’s thirsty ha ha!! She’s got
the 6litre of water that we got from the
supermarket for 60 cents, bargain!
Amy’s biggest fan ha
ha!! I promised Amy I would buy her a
proper fan when
we were in Barcelona and I did!
Stopping for
lunchtime pudding before we head out for the day, yummy!
We were waiting for
Colin coming out of the baker and Amy started laughing
her head off and then
showed me what she was pointing at!!!!
Happy faces all round
:O))))
Our first point of call today - Font Magica Monjuic
Closer view without the ugly mugs!!
Which way???
Really good, but really weird seeing escalators outside and at a historic building
but certainly saved us climbing ALL the stairs!!
We made it to the top of the hill!!
On your marks, get set, GO!!
The Olympic stadium for 1992 Olympics - Estadi Olimpic
The javelin throwing!
The Anderson team, think the dude at the back is still winning though ha ha!!
The view over Barcelona but also the view we had
when we stopped for our picnic lunch, absolutely gorgeous!
Yummy sandwiches xx
We then walked to the Castell De Montjuic Cable Car,
this was on Amy's wishlist - tick complete
Amy fascinated with the cable cars climbing up to the Castle and the view over the city below
The top of the cable car ride
The moat of the Castle!!
Big boys and their toys is all I can say!!
OK now it is medium-ish girl and massive cannon!! Ha ha!!
Busy port - loads of boats, cruise ships, aeroplane in shot just away to land and helicopter just
landing out of shot!
Overlooking the port and up towards the beaches
Going down now!
Here is the tourist guide with commentary hee hee!!
Colin's favourite view of the tree lined roads in amongst the buildings
On our way down from the cable car, cheeky Amy ha ha!!
So the photo starts off with Amy go and sit as if your sitting on her knee!
Then Colin says we could pretend it is Mummy and I could go into the photo for a cuddle!
WOOPS Colin where is your hand!!
As I am asking Colin to remove his hand from the female statue an American couple walk by and say let us take a photo of you guys in the same pose but with me covering Amy's eyes, hilarious!!!
Colin took this photo of the birds and thinks it would be a prize winning photo!!
We stopped for snack on the side of the Marina, beautiful yachts and plenty of them!
Watch out he's 'Armless' ha ha!!!
Oh hello Missy xx
We've made it down to Barceloneta Beach, shoes off!!
Paddling duo, water bit nippy!
So Colin saw this guy on the beach and reckons he might look like him either after 3 months of travelling or maybe being unemployed for 6 months!!! Heaven help us hee hee!!
We walked to the Hop on Hop off bus stop to get a lift home!
So Amy and I head home as it is tea time and the girls are hungry! Colin stayed on the hop on hop off bus and completed the line which we didn't manage to see yesterday.
Funny Colin took a photo of us leaving the bus and I took a photo of him still on the bus!
These are Colin's photos from the remainder of the tour xx
The train station, we've flown in and flying out so don't need train station tomorrow!
Camp Nou for FC Barcelona
Colin said we didn't miss much at all by getting off the bus, thank goodness for that :o)
We've really struggled to find a Barcelona sticker but Colin managed to find one when he got off the bus tour, clever Daddy XXX
So here we are another city completed, we have travelled through 4 different countries and 4 different languages! Here we go again tomorrow Berlin Ja Ja!!!

ReplyDeleteWe have been so lucky with the weather so far it has been sunny each place other than a few hours of rain in Paris! Barcelona was a lovely temperature, one thermometer on the street said it was 25 degrees but it didn't feel that hot! It was just right for walking around in. Lots love Axxx
