Brugge Day 1 Thursday 24th April

The afternoon in Brugge Day 1

 

Well we start walking to the hotel and think wow this is beautiful scenery already! 

 

Ok so we were on normal pavements but now we are on cobbled streets, really pretty when you are walking around but not with 3 suitcases and a hand luggage case and 3 backpacks!!!

 

Poor Colin starts carrying the cases as the cobbled pavements get too narrow!!

 

Holy moly we turn a corner and the place is swarming with tourists now we are tackling cobbles, suitcases (one of Colin's suitcases starts misbehaving with it's wheels!)  and dodging the tourists too, thankfully we were all laughing about it!!

More space than Paris in the room phew as we were starting to feel bit claustrophobic there, we have some floor space now!!

 

Ok so the suitcase didn't like the cobble streets either, woopsy the wheel has come off!!  Oh no, we have only been using our cases for 12 days they have a long way to go yet!!  Fingers crossed they survive!!

 

So the DIY expert thinks he can fix it up a little to try sustain the suitcase for a bit longer, Colin got screwdrivers from main desk, the wheel is back on but the case for the wheel can't be repaired!  Think we might be catching the bus or taxi to train station in Brugge as it would never survive the 15-20minute walk back to the station!!

 

Amy has given me free choice how to do her hair, so yesterday I put her hair into 8 French plaits and here is our gorgeous girl with curls galore!!

We headed out for some supplies for snack after we have gone for tea and a wander!  Colin is in the supermarket paying, you can see him through the window

The name of the shop totally sums up Amy Jade Anderson ha ha!!! XXX

 

Belgium is where chips originated from so it would be RUDE not to try them ha ha!!  We stop at a fish and chip shop Belgian style!!  Amy has Chicken Fingers and Chips!

 

Colin has Meat Croquette, chips with curry mayo and I have Chicken sausage with chips and Curry Mayo.  First menu I have seen where you have a separate sauce menu!!  It was really yummy!!

 

We then carried on our wander through some of the streets of Brugge, beautiful and magical xx

This shop is a blast from the past as I remember ordering from them when I lived in Aberdeen

some 13+ years ago!!

Belgium is famous for it's beer, this shop advertises 350 different types!

Amy licking her lips all the shops were closed when we were walking by but think someone will be paying a visit tomorrow.  The window displays are making Amy lick her lips so she will be in chocolate heaven tomorrow when the shops are OPEN!!
