So here we are in Alesund today but it is raining, we can't complain really as this is the first day of rain since leaving the Isle of Man way back on the 12th April!! It feels like a lifetime ago and even with our travels it feels like it was a few months ago we were even in Copenhagen and it was only a few days ago!! Time is flying by though as we are now on day 20 of 91!!
Amy has stayed on ship at kid's club as there isn't much to do in Alesund so she is hanging out with her new found French, Russian, Portuguese and Spanish friends. She has told us that she wants to have lunch with her friends too so we need to collect her at 5pm! Oh yeah and then they having a Pyjama party tonight so she has asked to go to that too!
Colin and I are the honeymoon couple now and we have headed into the town of Alesund and thankfully found a hotel offering free Wifi with buying a coffee!! So hey ho guess what we have been doing, Colin having a coffee and I have been giving you an update on our travels!! My other alternative was going to be going on the Hop On Hop Off bus to use their free Wifi that would have made for interesting blogs going round all the corners and sitting on the bus for a very long time ha ha!! We are sitting looking out over a busy little harbour, photos of Alesund will follow on the next time we can get free Wifi at another stop on our travels!
We have been meeting lots of people mostly American and Australian on the ship, we have even met a couple from Adelaide. Everyone is fascinated by our tale of our big holiday adventure but I'm just not sure that the part of the story we tell people that we are emigrating to Adelaide is real yet but what we are doing certainly feels very real now. Reality will soon hit when we arrive in Adelaide on the 17th July!! WOW!!
Okay I have done the blogs and now it is time for Colin and I to explore the town. Hope everyone is well, we are all doing good and just enjoying being on the cruise ship being looked after very well and feeling very chilled!
