Wet N Wild Waterpark
Wednesday 4th June
Amy
is sooo excited she is all ready just to get in the park and jump into the
water! New swimming costume on today
too!
It was only a 5-10
minute drive from our house so here we are, excited about a water park today
again, let’s go slide and have fun in the water!
Scan
your ticket Amy let’s go Amy doesn’t need to scan her finger at Universal parks
she can just scan her ticket and get straight in!
The
wave pool with 4ft waves!
Here
comes the wave Amy and Colin!!!
Here
is the new ride that is due to open next week, June 12th Aqua Drag Racer and is
going to be the tallest, fastest ride in Florida!
Looking over the park
at the two slides The Surge and Disco H20.
We started queuing for Disco H20 and the Surge line was going down
quicker so we jumped into the Surge line for our first family raft ride of the park. It was cool so we came off
and queued for Disco H20. It was a bit
strange as the lines used the same stairs so they only let 20 people go up from
each line on separate occasions. We are
waiting around for ages for Disco H20 and did hope it was worth the wait but
unfortunately the ride wasn’t good at all, bit dark, no music inside the ride
and not that fast. The music was better
when we were waiting in the queue. They
were playing BeeGees songs, YMCA and Macho Men!! People clapping and dancing away while we
were standing in the queue which was pretty cool to start with and then the
boredom of the long queues set in!! The
Surge was fast and a great family raft ride so we went on it for our last slide
of the day too!
Disco H20 which was supposed to be a 1970's disco inside but it wasn't to our disappointment!
The
end of the Surge ride with the family raft
The Lazy River which felt a bit quicker than normal and was bedlam rather than relaxing! Amy swam in it as there were no rings for her to float and when she got one they were too big for her!
There
were 3 different slides on these one sets of steps, The Flyer which was on a
family dingy style raft, The Blast which was on a double and Colin had a single
raft to go down the slide and then we did Mach V
The
final bit of the slide on Mach 5, we could race each other but we all set off
at different times, this slide was a single mat that you lay on and sped down
the hill going round corners and over bumps that you came off the slide at, Amy
loved it!!
Snack time – I had a chocolate covered with sprinkles frozen banana, Amy had buttered popcorn and Colin had his first Pretzel. The frozen banana was a bit strange and Col found his Pretzel could have been done with something sweet on it rather than rock salt. But atleast we can say we have tried them!
I am done in the water park area but Colin and Amy head off into the Blastaway Beach which is the largest family water play area in Florida
Blastaway Beach has a 6 storey castle including 15 slides and 160 interactive water elements. Amy and Col were in their elements!!
Four
of the 15 slides in the Blastaway Beach, Amy and Colin loved the blue and
yellow slides
The drop of water that was missing from the park, ha ha!! It wasn’t particularly pleasant walking around the water park as they didn’t have sprinklers on the walkways to save you burning your feet as the paths get extremely hot in the sun. They didn’t even have sprinklers when you were waiting in the queues to keep the rest of you cool either. Not feeling the love from this park, we sound critics, don’t we, but other parks either had sprinklers for your feet or allowed you to wear beach shoes but Wet N Wild didn’t allow beach shoes and didn’t have sprinklers = not impressed and burny burny on our feet!!
There
were other slides to go onto but the Black Hole and Brain Wash were two riders
and I wasn’t entertaining either so Colin had to miss out, poor show no single
riders allowed! More love lost for the
park and Colin just didn’t fancy The Storm swirling slide, Der Stuka or Bomb
Bay fast straight down the hill slides.
Brain wash!
So after all that hot walkways and water slides we headed home and guess where Amy headed??
Yes straight into the pool for a swim as if she didn't have enough water during the day.
Water baby for sure!!!!

Water baby for sure!!!!
We
had a shower and got ready for bed and then played a few games of table
football,
basketball and then we moved onto
Pool!! Nice to chill and play some games in the
games room! Amy loves the Isle of Man
Manxie Flag!! We have rented the house
from a guy from the Isle of Man hence the Manx flag flying in the games room. It is funny as we haven't thought much of the Isle of Man since we left on the 12th April so we are not homesick yet but that might hit us when we arrive in Australia?!?!
Now
it is off to bed as we have Hollywood Studio’s to go to tomorrow! We are not really looking forward to
Hollywood Studio’s as there doesn’t appear to be that much things to do that we
enjoy, but all will be revealed tomorrow J
