Day 4

Saturday 5th July

Happy 'Official' Tynwald Day to all the Manxies following the blog xxx

 

So this is the first day that I get up at 5.30am to start doing my research for my application form.  It seems to be the best time of the day when the apartment is quiet but then you know who gets up……..

 

 

at 6am just checking up on me!!!

 

Just to make sure that she knows it isn’t fun getting up at this time of day whilst I am supposed to be studying I give Amy a task of typing out my questions, well I got 4 words typed for me with her serious face on and then she realised it was boring and went and sat quietly with her iPad!!

 

So here the two of them are away to the pool without me as I am left behind to get my work done, nothing like missing out on part of the holiday but the work required is mammoth and peace and quiet is required, so have fun guys!!

I did head down to the pool for a quick cheeky swim with them though as just couldn’t resist, it was drizzling so it made perfect sense to get wet!

 

We headed out for a wander after lunch along the other side of Waikiki Beach towards Diamond Head and look at the size of this tree with the hanging vines which reminds Colin of Tarzan!!

There was a Sunday parade on in the morning for God’s Ohana Day and the celebration of churches joining together was still going on with a  concert in the afternoon, it appears to be a popular yearly event

Ok here is Tarzan now away to swing on a vine!

 

Just sooooo funny!!  Difference between you and Tarzan is that Tarzan goes a nice tanned colour in the jungle and you go RED!!!

 

Amy has a try but doesn’t want to swing on it just wants to hold it!

Ok Colin goes off to the supermarket to get some fresh supplies and Amy and I head back to the apartment, fair deal I think but you know what I am going back to study and Amy is going back to cool off and chill!!

 

Wait a minute Mr do you have our shipment on board if you do can you put your foot down and get it to Adelaide before mid-August, thanks, much appreciated ha ha!!  Who knows where our things are weird not knowing where in the world our wordly possessions are, just bobbing around somewhere but the most important possessions are ourselves, everything else is just material things!!

 

Not only did Colin do the shopping he is also doing some housework too, sweeping up the sand from the beach that got dragged in!  Good work Col!!

 

Ok here we go off to Waikiki Beach with boogy boards and I have my beach chair, woop woop!!

The look of what shall I do first??? Hum, boogy boarding, build sandcastles or will I just have a dip in the sea??????  You can see the cogs turning in the noggin!!!

 

You guessed it, boogy boarding!

 

Cool, away they go into the deep blue sea for some boogy boarding!!

 

There they are the two tiny dots in the middle of the photo with Amy’s bright pink top!  They are having fun so I turn my hand to some photo’s then I am going to sit, relax and try catch up with the journal

A Waikiki Ambassador has just stopped for a chat with me, these guys are hanging around everywhere, good idea to keep the tourists safe as there are a large amount of locals and homeless people milling about, easy pray us tourists!!

Colin has gone really far out he is alongside the surfer’s, turn round Colly, don’t go any further out or else you’ll get a surfboard on your head!!! DONK!!!

The sandcastle builders and the blue chair is where my booty has been taking the photos and watching everyone in the sea, fascinating watching the surfers out catching the waves!

 

My chair and my new journal that I have been writing in as the special one with Big Holiday Adventure on it that we got ordered in the Isle of Man was full up by the Alaskan Cruise so this new journal was purchased in Skagway!!

 

The captions could be endless for this photo let’s try and get into Colin’s thoughts!!!

What ARE we doing?  Have we made the right decision travelling and moving? What kind of house are we going to have? What job prospects are out there for me?  Wonder if Angela is ever going to get her application form completed?  I hope Angela isn’t taking a photograph of my booty (no I don’t he would be thinking that either ha ha!) Where is our shipment?  Has that dude that is metal detecting found anything?  I hope Amy enjoys her new school?  Wonder when our things will arrive? How do you master surfing? Will I surf in Australia?  Wish I was out on a surfboard right now?  Our future by the sea, sun and surf!!! 

 

Colin and Amy went back out to sea on their boogy boards again and then came in and headed over to another part of the beach.  I wondered where they were going but then saw what they were watching some Hawaiian dancers

 

Then the BIG drums came out

 

Then the Hula Dancers that is when we had seen enough!

Time to go back to the apartment as the moon is out and the sun is away to set!

 

Colin and Amy headed back to get showered and I waited for our special treat as it is Saturday night of Burger King!!  I picked up a few flowers on the way that had fallen off the trees to brighten the display of our juice holder!

Amy loves Hawaii with her heart sign!!  Amy has been saying as we go along where she would like to go back to on her Honeymoon!!!  It is funny when she starts talking about her Honeymoon and a bit scary that she is and will grow up, eeek scary!!!!   So Hawaii is one of the places she would like to revisit.  She has quite a list now, London, Paris, New York and Florida I just hope she meets someone that is understanding and let’s her choose where they go on Honeymoon and has lots of money!!!

That is us for the day again, days are flying by as when we are in the apartment we are playing lots of games of Uno and also I am trying to do my application form!!!
