Our first day in Adelaide ...... 17th July

 

So even though we were tired we still had to buy in the essentials on the day we arrived!!

 

 

 

Here we are toilet roll and a clothes dryer what else would we need!!  The washing has certainly been building up as I stopped hand washing in Tokyo!!

 

We got some great bargains from the Reject Shop

 

Then we stopped at K Mart and bought another essential item a heater as it is going down to about 4degrees C at night and there is no heating in the apartment.  As we have been living in hot and humid climates for a bit now we are feeling it very cold!!  We will get acclimatised soon enough, we hope!

 

Next is food shopping from Woolworths, got some bargains from there too!!  These were the few shops that we went to at Westfield at West Lakes, a big shopping mall!

 

We headed home after spending a fortune thankfully we are not on our daily budget anymore or else we would have been way over spent!!!  Colin trying out his duties as House Husband and cleaning the fridge freezer before we put our food in, good job Col xxx

 

We bought an electric blanket for Amy, nice new pillows, pink pillow cases and a lovely fleece blanket.  Amy feels special and at home now with her nice new bedding

 

Amy is in bed so I am busy putting things away and Colin offers to cook tea for me.  We spent Aus$10 on a Gluten Free Pizza which is pricey but it looked good!!  So Colin in all his wisdom decided to put the double oven on and leave the pizza in for longer than the packaging said so you can see the burnt offering I got from him!  But on the plus side he got to use his new oven glove!  Colin's face says it all the pizza didn't come out as good as he hoped and his glove wasn't as good either as his hand got HOT so my pizza got thrown down!!!  Sorry Col that is a fail for the first tea cooked!!!  It was funny though, tattie boogle!!

 

Here was another purchase today a nice fleece that is being modelled by the 'tiredest man in the world'!!!

 

And look at my special purchase my washing dryer, that was what I was busy doing whilst Colin was modelling the fleece blanket!!!

We did a lot today which was great so onto tomorrow with our first important appointment to go to in the City!!
