Girlie time - Sunday 10th August

Amy was asking for some girlie time so Colin went to do the weekly shop and then he went out for a walk and Amy and I played card games, arts and craft things, made loom bracelets for her friends in Isle of Man and then wrote them letters, played Hula Hoop, played catch and danced!!!  It was good fun and real quality girlie time.  Colin did well too as he went for a big walk along the prom and got some bargains at shopping like bananas for $2.20 per kg, wow well done Col!!

Here is Amy and I copying an idea from Art Attack

It is a door hanger which when the door at the top of the circle shows green you can enter Amy's room but when it is red then do not enter.  Art Attack had a book design for reading but Am decided she would like some quiet time when she is playing with her dolls!

Amy with Jemima, Cuddles and Flopsy (who are still bobbing around in the sea somewhere hopefully docking in Adelaide soon!)

Gosh that didn't take long the sign is on and the door closed, do not enter!!!

A few of the loom bracelets that Amy has made for her 2 new friends here and her 7 best friends in the Isle of Man.  They are rubber little rings that you can make into any design Amy likes the herringbone design bracelet.  Amy can make a bracelet in about 20 minutes!!

How sweet we have just found out one of Amy's friends grandma died last week so this is her friend's letter, such compassion!!  Amy has also been putting on her letters - ' I have school and have started.  I have two friends. Mummy has got a job and we have rented a house for a year.'
The snapshot of news from an 8 year old!!!
