Petrol and Banana's

Mmmmmm you may wonder what petrol and bananas have in common here but wait until I tell you something.  So ever since I have known Colin we have had the same conversation going past any petrol station, anywhere in the world 'oh look at the price of petrol here' or'price of petrol has gone down' or 'blooming heck the price of petrol has gone up' or 'let's fill up the cars there as it has the best deal!'.  Okay so the same conversations are happening here but it is 'gosh petrol is so cheap here' or 'go there as I have a 4 cents off voucher'.  The prices are fluctuating daily here though unlike the weekly change in the Isle of Man.
So now I am having the same conversations regarding the prices of bananas as the prices are fluctuating so much!!  We started off when we arrived with bananas being $2.99 per kg then they have gone up and up and now one store is selling them for $4.20 per kg.  Watching the banana prices has become my pass time as I look at all the supermarkets and the green grocers to see who has the nicest looking bananas and also the cheapest!!  I had to ask at the green grocer why the prices of bananas are constantly changing and he told me it was due to transport costs, petrol prices and weather.
So now you know what the similarities of petrol and bananas have in Australia.
