Deliveries and packing!!

Exciting day today!!

Here is Amy before school packing up her toys and earning some pocket money!!

Amy and I pack the car and head off for school.  This was the first day we could actually park in the driveway and then walk to school, exciting!!  Colin had to get cash out for the delivery men that were coming.  So Amy and I walk across the road and then as we start walking through the soccer field Amy says 'Eh Mummy can I ask you a question?' so I say 'yes sure anything' Amy 'would it be okay if I see how it feels to walk to school by myself?'

So of course I say yes with my heart breaking as she sprints off by herself and shouts back
'I love you Mummy, have a good day!'  Awh cutie pie!!

Our first delivery of our white goods, how exciting!!!

Our laundry room with our new upright freezer, washing machine and our new laundry basket

Our new fridge/freezer, soooooo exciting getting our first delivery!!!!
But the reality of oh my gosh we now have to pay for electricity, water and gas hits us!!
Yes we need to pay for all the water that we use so showers are now going to be timed ha ha!!

Next delivery is our mattress and Amy's!!!
So decision was made that we would move out of the holiday let and move in now that we have mattresses and our other furniture should be delivered hopefully within the next week.  We are all cool with slumming it for a week or so after a family discussion to save paying double rent.

Colin and I stopped for lunch we are still on packed lunches.  Only problem was we only had one bar stool until the apprentice came home from school, so I sat in the sun and Colin wandered around the garden eating his lunch!!  We were reluctant to put the heating on in the house so we went outside for a warm up too!!!  Just like the UK is unprepared for extreme heat with no air conditioning, Australian homes are unprepared for winter cooler days.  It was 12 degrees but with the wind it felt much cooler than that.  The windows are single glazed and our air conditioning unit is reversed cycle which means it can pump out heat but it is a bit costly to run so the sun warmed us up instead!!

Amy got a prize for climbing the good behaviour steps at school, once you reach step 8 you get a prize.  This is her first prize of a ball maze thing, cool!!  A reward for being good!!!

The apprentice and DIY Daddy managed to make up the other two breakfast bar stools so we could have tea sitting down together.  I made Chilli for our first tea in the new house.  This is sweet, Amy sat down for tea and said 'I feel like I am at home'.  And that goes for all of us it feels like home already!!
