Santa has been ha ha!!
We've seen Santa's elves or we think we have??
They were disguised as delivery men ha ha!!
Ok we had a phone call the day before our shipment was due to arrive saying that the delivery would be between 9 - 9.30am so we all thought perfect we can get organised whilst Amy is at school but low and behold the delivery truck arrived at 8am!!!!
Here is Amy watching the two really nice guys take our things off the delivery truck.
Keep your eyes peeled Amy watch everything comes off!!!
Wowee our belongings are in that truck, EXCITING!!!
Here is Amy with her fingers crossed hoping that all her toys have made it to Adelaide and they are all okay, fingers and toes crossed everyone!!
One of the first boxes to come in was marked Amy's toys!! And look the first doll Amy found was Pauline from Butterflies Nursery doll that she donated to Amy before we left for the doll to be loved and well looked after. Pauline I don't think you could have found a better person to look after your childhood doll!! Amy has named her Ella xxx
And the excited look on Amy's face just says it all!!!
Quarantine must have thought there was something dodgy in Amy's toy boxes are most of them were searched or maybe the heard the doll's crying or maybe they wanted to play, who knows??!?!
Amy was really upset seeing her beloved toys again and she was missing Josh (Jemima's brother!) there must be another box somewhere but it was school time!! So I rang school and explained that our shipment had just arrived and Amy was upset so they were really good and excited for us and told us to take our time getting Amy to school!! So lovely of them xXx
Here is another box with Ruby the Koala in it, wow Ruby comes from Adelaide she has travelled to the Isle of Man and here she is now back to where she belongs!!
Awh look our favourite recipe for Szechuan Chicken has made it, you can tell it is well used but I was thinking that I hadn't made a copy of it before we left and hoped it made it to Adelaide for us to make our favourite tea again!! I have now got this photo of it so recipe will live on forever, phew!!!
Ah ha Colly has found his beloved shoes. His shoes that he had taken on our big holiday adventure are certainly nearly through the sole, perfect timing!!
Phew I am happy now that our wedding album has survived the travel and appears absolutely fine, now I can relax!!
Okay look at the state of Amy's bedroom but she has unpacked all her doll boxes, has found Josh and is now happy and ready to go to school. Only an hour late!!
Wow these are the photo's of what Colin and I were busy doing once we had dropped Amy off at school!!!
Amy's bicycle arrived and Colin unpacked it for her so Amy decided to ride her bicycle to school
And away she goes. We walked behind Amy as we had to sign her in for being late to school and the bike shed is closed just after school starts and doesn't open until home time so we needed to take the bicycle back home with us. The receptionist at school was excited for us and wanted to know what Amy's most favourite thing to be delivered was and she looked at our photo's of all our boxes and Amy's bedroom!!!
So Amy is at school let's get going Mr A, we started in the kitchen!
Ah ha my pyrex dishes, phew now we can have pasta dishes for tea again. We have missed our favourite my speciality cheesy pasta, yummy!!!! So as we were going through the box we found 2 wine glasses broken, 2 serving Denby bowls, handle on one of my pyrex dishes which were all okay but then.....................................
Our teapot that matches all our Denby was completely smashed, well this was the final straw for me the tears were flowing! Now I don't know why the teapot got me as most of you know that I don't drink tea or coffee so why did this hit me so hard, not sure?!?! I think the disappointment of seeing our things broken but in the big scheme of things a few glasses and dishes broken when we did ship 122 boxes and pictures was not bad really.
Here is what Colin was looking forward to seeing was okay the picture of Amy and him holding hands at one of our first few photo shoots we had done on the Isle of Man.
And here we go this picture had to be the first one to be hung in our new home, pride of place in the living room, love it xxx
Oh dear another Quarantine Inspected, they certainly did check through quite a few boxes and thankfully nothing was detected so all the toothbrush cleaning of golf shoes, bicycle and all outdoor things paid off!!
Colin is impressed now he has jumpers and fleeces to wear as it is still chilly in the evenings!
Yeehah I have found my hoody tops too, missed my hoodies xxx
With us still waiting for Amy's wardrobe to be delivered all our clothes and jackets are in our walk in wardrobe and boy between us we have a lot of clothes! We have ran out of room in the wardrobe so as we have been doing a bit of improvisation and here we go curtains in the form of kilt and tuxedo or we could class it as art work maybe. We will get some room soon as Amy's wardrobe is coming this weekend!
Well that was a quick few hours look who we have picked up below ...........
School's out and Amy is super keen to get home, mmmmm I wonder why ha ha!!
Now we have unwrapped all the breakables and this is all what they were wrapped in!
Amy dive in!!!!
And Daddy too!!!
Who needs ball play areas we have a paper play area for the kids!!
After a play guess what we found which was a big part of the Big Holiday Adventure.................
Oh yes the Pandora bracelet to match up with the charms Amy was collecting along the way
And here it is all charms on, it looks absolutely beautiful, thanks Uncle Brian and Auntie Nicola this bracelet will be going in a safe place and worn on special occasions xXx
Amy found her monkey Brownie, he jumped on her back and stayed there for the rest of the evening!
We found some of Amy's school books so in amongst the mayhem of boxes and everything Amy decides to take 5 and play her penny whistle, really sweet!!
And then Amy decides to take another 5 and chills out in the paper with Brownie and her iPad!! It was probably the place that had the least amount of mayhem so I don't blamer her really!!
Here we go the pair of them checking their golf clubs have made it safely and we are very pleased they have!!
!!!!MISSING!!!!
This is an important announcement!! It is with deep regret that we have to announce that Box number 51 has ran away from the shipment. Please share this with friends and anyone who may know where Box 51 has gone. Please contact us immediately if you see Box 51, it is not dangerous and can be approached but be careful as it does contain items from the kitchen for example our tea and coffee holder, microwave splash lids and Tupperware dishes and because it was sooooo long ago we packed our things up we cannot think of anything else that we are missing and could be inside the box!! So if you are on a beach somewhere please have a walk along the shore line and see if you can see Box 51 bobbing along somewhere. We are not sure if Box 51 is still in the Isle of Man or the UK but we don't think it got on the ship to come to Adelaide. This is the end of the important announcement ha ha hee hee!!!!
So after an extremely busy, draining and emotional day a glass of bubbly called 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' will certainly help us celebrate our shipment arrival, cheers everybody xxx
